Finding a Role Model! – We believe establishing an opportunity for children to meet and learn from wrestling legends and role models are vital for character growth.  Since 1999 we have educated the kids on who the wrestling heroes are and their respective accolades. Through Journeymen Wrestling’s NY State Fall Clinic and our camp operations (Spring Fling, the John Smith Oklahoma State Camp and the Brands Brothers’ Iowa Wrestling Camp), we have successfully introduced our legends and heroes to the youth of the Northeast. Our efforts have now expanding to the Southern Tier of NY. So far we’ve presented opportunities for athletes to meet Olympic and NCAA champions, as well as Olympic and NCAA coaches. This has been amazing – imagine being a youth basketball player and meeting Michael Jordan or a hockey player meeting Wayne Gretzky. The results have been staggering. We’ve averaged 350 wrestlers for our fall clinics and 225 athletes in our inaugural year of the John Smith camp.   These numbers rival any turnout in the country. An expanded John Smith camp at SUNY Cobleskill (Cobleskill NY) and a new Brands Brothers’ Iowa Camp at Binghamton University coming in 2008.
