JOURNEYMEN WRESTLING CLUB
100 Saratoga Village BLVD
Suite 22
Malta, NY
Committed to raising the proverbial wrestling bar. Our academy focuses on all facets of amateur wrestling – improving technique, learning proper weight training skills, understanding dieting, developing a mental attitude and embracing discipline.

Capacity - For years our philosophy was to not turn any athlete away.
Although this inclusiveness has paid some handsome dividends over the past
14+ years, it has also produced some space issues. We now strictly limit the
allowable members to 65...No more than that. This makes it the leanest
the club has ever been. We feel that the limits offer exclusiveness and more
one-on-one attention.

The membership fees are as follows: (there is no reduction in rate for athletes attending only one night a week or certain months of the year)
Member - Group of wrestlers will get access to special guest clinicians, competitions and practice times. 70-member limit: Price is for 8 months (March-October): $1200.00 (broken up into 3 monthly payments: March - April - May. There is no pausing of memberships.
Returning Seniors - Pertains to seniors heading off to college in the fall: $900 (two payments) Semi-Private Lessons (Groups of 4) - Call to inquire about pricing.
Journeymen Wrestling does not offer payment plans.
Payment is due prior to your first practice; however, we have an openenrollment policy, so you can enroll at any time. The only cut-off date is when we’ve reached capacity.

Coach Shaun Miller
SHAUN was a high school three time section II champ and NYS 3rd who went on to wrestle D1 at West Virginia university. Since 2005 he has dedicated himself to leading the Minimen club(Journeymen’s Youth division). Coach Miller has been inspired by his prior coaches to include Joe Bena, Frank Pop, & Zeke Jones and now shares his passion for wrestling with the local youth of the capital region. His dedication has resulted in many sectional, state, college, and world level athletes on the mat but also to extremely successful men and women off the mat.
PHILOSOPHY
Modeled directly after our high school club, Journeymen Wrestling. The MiniMen Wrestling Club is the premier youth wrestling program in Upstate NY. This program is dedicated specifically to 1st- 8th-grade student-athletes and attracts boys and girls from all over the Greater Capital Region and beyond. Practices are run with the structure and intensity of a varsity high school practice, but at a speed and content relevant for our younger athletes. MiniMen strives to enhance the club members' athletic abilities by teaching advanced youth wrestling/grappling techniques and combining that with age-appropriate youth agility & strength training. Additional focus will be on developmental skills like teamwork, perseverance, emotional control, and youth goal setting.
