Committed to raising the proverbial wrestling bar. Our academy focuses on all facets of amateur wrestling – improving technique, learning proper weight training skills, understanding dieting, developing a mental attitude and embracing discipline.

Capacity - For years our philosophy was to not turn any athlete away.
Although this inclusiveness has paid some handsome dividends over the past
14+ years, it has also produced some space issues. We now strictly limit the
allowable members to 65...No more than that. This makes it the leanest
the club has ever been. We feel that the limits offer exclusiveness and more
one-on-one attention.

The membership fees are as follows: (there is no reduction in rate for athletes attending only one night a week or certain months of the year)
Member - Group of wrestlers will get access to special guest clinicians, competitions and practice times. 100-member limit: Price is for 9 months (March-October): $1300.00 (broken up into 3 monthly payments: March - April - May. There is no pausing of memberships.
Returning Seniors - Pertains to seniors heading off to college in the fall: $975 (two payments)
Semi-Private Lessons (Groups of 4) - Call to inquire about pricing.
Journeymen Wrestling does not offer payment plans.
Payment is due prior to your first practice; however, we have an open enrollment policy, so you can enroll at any time. The only cut-off date is when we’ve reached capacity.

PHILOSOPHY
The MiniMen Wrestling Club is modeled after the Journeymen High School Club. It is the premier youth wrestling program in Upstate NY. The program is dedicated to grades 1st through 8th, and attracts boys and girls from all over the greater capital region and beyond. Practices are run with the structure and intensity of a Varsity High School practice but at an age-appropriate pace. MiniMen strives to enhance club members & athletic abilities by teaching advanced youth wrestling/grappling techniques and promoting overall wellness. Additional focus is placed on developmental skills like Teamwork, Perseverance, Emotional Control, and Grit!
