JOURNEYMEN ADIDAS FALL CLASSIC
FALL CLASSIC - OVER-FLO TOURNAMENT
Billed as a replica of the boys’ (men’s) Journeymen Fall Classic-HS tournament,
arguably one of the toughest preseason competitions in the country! The Journ-
eymen Classic – Over-Flo features the best of three additional segments within
our wrestling community: Middle School, Women and the Over-FLO Challenge.
MIDDLE SCHOOL: The best of the best middle schoolers (6th-8th graders), from
across the USA squaring off in a preseason round-robin format.
OVER-FLO CHALLENGE: Didn’t make the cut in the Journeymen Fall Classic-HS due to being late or light accolades? Don’t stress. You can work your way into the event by wrestling in this mini tournament. Winners
of identified brackets earn a slot into Sunday’s competition. For those who feel that this may be beneath them, almost all of the participants in the Over-Flo Challenge were state placers or state qualifiers.
OVER-FLO EVENT PHILOSOPHY:
Tier 1 – Best of the Best: This is a true battleground for the hardcore wrestlers. Four, five-, six-, or eight-man round-robin brackets with all decorated and accomplished opponents. National place finishers get preference. *Eight-man round-robins are two four-man groups with a cross-over.
Tier 2 – Best of the Rest: the next four or five best-accomplished wrestlers are bracketed together. Four-, six-,or eight-man round-robin brackets with decorated opponents.
FALL CLASSIC - MAIN EVENT
The best of the best from across the country squaring off in a preseason round-robin format. Last year, our fourth year, was perhaps our best event ever. We had 245 competitors from 30 different states, of which 47 were nationally ranked. We anticipate an even more competitive environment in 2015!
Best of the Best: This is a true battleground for wrestlers on the east coast. Four-, six-, or eight-man round-robin brackets with all decorated and accomplished opponents (three to four matches for each wrestler) National, State or New England place finishers, followed by state qualifiers, get preference. Best of the Rest: the next four, five or six best-accomplished wrestlers are paired together.
PLEASE DO NOT email or call asking for a particular tier or round-robin bracket. It doesn’t work that way. A coaches’ committee from around the country ranks the wrestlers, which determines the groupings.

The 8 teams that lose in the second round will do the same – creating their own tournament bracketing. When each team in their respective bracket has had two bouts, we will end up with four 8-team brackets and 32 teams will wrestle it out for their respective titles.
